The history of MBC began to be built in the construction and real estate sectors in April 1981 with Benjamim Abreu, one of the founding partners, recognized for his humanitarian work and strong sense of justice.
Acquisition in 1993 of the tourism project Clube Vilarosa, marking the moment when MBC established the field of tourism and hotel management as one of its strategic priorities.
In 1997, Nuno Spencer Abreu, his son, took over the leadership of the company after the passing of the founder Benjamin Abreu. Following his legacy, the wife and children are shareholders.
In 2002, the company's growing activity allowed for its expansion into various business areas. The shareholders established companies in construction, real estate, service management, hospitality, and catering, thus giving rise to the concept of a Group.
In 2014, MBC begins to offer a new offering in Sal Island, Cape Verde, with Murdeira Village, marking the first international experience in its hotel business area. This also represents the initial stage in the growth strategy defined by MBC, which aims to increase its portfolio of hotels.
